What’s The Point?

You read books, articles and quotes about motivation all the time, more people are telling you that you have to push through to make yourself the best, they encourage you to be bold, take those steps and achieve what you want. Coaches inspire and motivate you, they talk about how special you are, how amazing your mind is, and that life is full of infinite possibilities. So why would anyone take the time out to motivate and inspire you, well, for one, there are those who are actually living the life you have dreamt of, those who have been stubborn and determined enough to create the life they want. What’s really the point of all these?

You Care Enough – It is so much easier to give up than to actually care enough to do something. You care enough to want to achieve something and be someone and live your life to the max. There are only a few things as sad as a person who does not care enough to live a great and exciting life.

“The poorest man in the world is a man without a dream.” Myles Munroe

Others Deserve What You Have To Give – Everyone has something to give, to contribute to the life of another person, even a smile, a kind word goes a long way to make someone’s day. If something as simple as that can help another person, then you can imagine how great it will be to actually put the effort into contributing something more.

The World Can Be Made A Better Place – It wouldn’t really help the world if one more person gives up on a dream.

‘The graveyard is the richest place on the surface of the earth because there you will see the books that were not published, ideas that were not harnessed, songs that were not sung, and drama pieces that were never acted.” – Myles Munroe

Man is designed intricately and complex and this is the reason why after decades, new music is still being written, composed and sung, new books are still been written, art works are still being created, and yet no two piece of work are ever the same, unless made so intentionally, everyday is an opportunity to give something new and wonderful. Never forget it, you have a lot to offer to make the world a better place, after all, where would we be today if those who came before us did not have dreams and achieve them?

You Deserve – This is not a cliché, you actually do deserve the best, you deserve to be happy, to be loved, to do what you love, to have what you desire, you deserve all these and more, but you wouldn’t get them if you do not fight for them. The world makes a place for the man who knows what they want and are willing to kick some ass to get it. “Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.”― Abraham Lincoln

Afterall, what is the point if you can not be happy, if you have to go through life dreading every morning, life is beautiful and you deserve to live it with gusto, excitement and with exuberance, you deserve to be able to shout loud ‘I love my life’.

Others Will Have It Anyway – Following from the previous point, life is beautiful but it can also be a huge challenge, but how you see it and relate with it is up to you.

Helen Keller wrote that Life is either a daring adventure or nothing

Yes, life can be hard but you have to be willing, determined and stubborn to swim against the tide to get what you want, because if you don’t, others will anyway. Have you ever thought of an idea and then you see someone else doing it and then you think ‘I thought about doing that’, so why didn’t you do it?

‘Never say it cannot be done, lest you be interrupted by someone already doing it’, so here you are, everyday comes with the opportunity to get what you want, what have you got to lose? You are probably not living the life you want now anyway so why don’t you take that step and be bold enough to go for what you want. For everyday you don’t go after your dream, someone else is fighting for theirs, so don’t blame anyone when you end up with nothing and the other person ends up with the life you have always dreamed to have.

  1. If I don’t do it then someone else will. That’s okay for some things but for others, not so much.
