A Believing Girl’s Guide to Action

Risk taking is part of life, without risks, we cannot grow, we may not see opportunities and all the great gifts, ideas and abilities in us will remain dormant and useless.

“Often the difference between a successful person and a failure is not one has better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on one’s ideas, to take a calculated risk – and to act.” Andre Malraux

‘Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.” Andre Gide

“It’s not because things are difficult that we dare not venture. It’s because we dare not venture that they are difficult.”

Risk taking goes hand in hand with action, there can not be action without taking risks, and without action, nothing can be done or achieved, fear dominates where there is no action.

‘Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.’ – Henry Ford

“The only thing that stands between a man and what he wants from life is often merely the will to try it, and the faith to believe that it is possible.”
Richard M. DeVos

“He who is outside the door has already a good part of his journey behind him.”
Dutch Proverb

Action requires courage. Courage is the enemy of fear, it is feeling the fear and doing what you want to do anyway. Yes, you can feel the fear and the doubt and hesitation, but take action in-spite of it all.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” ― Winston Churchill

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney

Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right. For as a man thinks so is he. So if you think you can, you can and if you think you cannot, you cannot!
