Most people never run far enough on their first wind to find out they’ve got a second. Give your dreams all you’ve got and you’ll be amazed at the energy that comes out of you.
– William James
It is the constant washing of the water on the rock that causes it to wear out the rock
Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.
Too many times, we see people give up on the first try, but really, if we all achieved all we wanted to just on the first try, then everyone who wants to be a writer, a singer, an artist, would be one but unfortunately, it does not work that way, and this is where persistence comes in.
I look at people who have achieved their dreams and I see, not an absence of fear but a presence of persistence, they feel the fear everyone else does but do it anyway and persist in it, so being afraid is just an excuse and not a reason.
Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside of them was superior to circumstance.
– Bruce Barton
Believing is just the first step, there is much more between the believing and the achieving, and the wonderful news is that, that is where the fun lies, getting the experiences on the way to achieving your dreams. Funny thing about experiences, they serve as a point of reference for when you embark on another journey to achieving another level of success, if you do not have experiences, then you will have noting to look back on or refer to, when it’s time to achieve again, so no matter what you may think about experiences, be thankful that you have them.
Persisting in what you are doing till you achieve what you want, is not a cliche, there is a reason why successful people always talk about persistence, it’s because it is easy to give up and also because it works, persistence is the only thing that works when every other thing fails.
Persistence means to endure and to insist, if there’s a time to be stubborn, it is in persisting and insisting on what you want.
